Water connection system thieves on trial in Dubai

Three jobless Pakistanis allegedly formed a gang and stole irrigation systems in green areas in Dubai. The value of the stolen water connections and damaged pipes is estimated at Dh5,635.

One of the three suspects is accused of possessing goods knowing that they were stolen.

A Dubai Police corporal testified that the force had received a tip off that MAM, 27, is selling water connection systems in Sharjah.

“In coordination with Sharjah police, the suspect was arrested. When confronted, he admitted to stealing them with the help of others. He said MMW was aware that the connections were stolen,” testified the officer.

The Court will issue its verdict on September 29.
