A Bahrain court sentenced a local man to 10 years in prison after he was caught trying to sell a “heroin” cigarette.
A police man acting as a customer had contacted the Bahraini man through an acquaintance and told him he wanted to buy one cigarette.
“They agreed to meet near the dealer’s house in Issa City in Manama..…when the dealer handed the heroin cigarette, other police men were on him,” the Bahraini Arabic language daily 'Alayam' said.
It said the court also fined the unnamed defendant BD5,000 ($13,000).
