A Bahrain court sentenced two Arab brothers to a total 15 years in prison after they were convicted of human trafficking, a Bahraini newspaper reported on Wednesday.

The court sentenced the elder brother to 10 years and the younger to five years and ordered them deported from the Gulf island Kingdom.

Police arrested the two after a Colombian girl went to airport and south police help in returning to her home country, 'Al Wasat' Arabic language daily said.

She told police that she was brought in Bahrain by the two brothers to work in a hair dressing salon but that she was locked in an apartment and forced into prostitution.

The paper said police discovered that the two had brought many girls from Colombia and other countries and forced them into vice, adding that they had made “much money” from this illegal business.
