A costly price of gallantry

A Saudi driver had apparently thought he was doing a big favour to a man when he stopped for him on a motorway and gave him a lift. 

The man had told him he has just bought some petrol for his car which he said had run out of fuel while he was taking his family back home.“The driver felt sorry for that man and agreed immediately to give him a lift to where he had left his car,” Okaz daily said.“When they arrived near the car, five other men jumped on the Saudi driver, beat him up and stole his money before fleeing with that man,” the paper said in a report from the northwestern town of Tabuk.
