Dead baby found on beach

Visitors to a beach in Egypt stumbled across a dead baby dumped by his mother on the sand a few days after he was born, newspapers reported on Wednesday.

Police arrested the mother after investigation showed she was impregnated through a relationship outside marriage.

A police spokesman in Northeastern Domyat town said the 23-year-old mother confessed to killing her baby and dumping him on the beach after she was divorced by her husband.
