Mall Romeo gets a good womanly beating

A smiling Kuwaiti man who received a smile back from a girl at a busy shopping mall thought it was an invitation to go ahead. Once he came close to the girl, he immediately wished he would have never smiled at her.

Using all womanly weapons, including shoes, a hand bag, nails, a mobile phone and a heavy necklace, her female relative jumped on the man.

“She kept beating him and threatening all passers by not to intervene until he had a really good smack…she only stopped when the security arrived,” the Kuwait Arabic language daily Alwatan said.

“Besides the smack, the girl swore at him with the worst words one can imagine…after she let him loose, the man just ran away, apparently deciding that he should be more careful in his smiling advances next time.”

Two women get two years for molesting little boy

A Kuwaiti court sentenced two Asian female cleaners to two years in prison for molesting a little school boy after pouring hot water on him.

The two workers at a Kuwait City primary school waited for the boy to enter the toilet and grabbed him before pouring hot water on his naked body.

“One of them poured hot water on him while the other molested him...the boy later identified the two at the police station,” 'Al Anba' daily said.

It said the two were told by court to pay KD100 ($360) to have their jail sentence suspended but they were also ordered deported from the oil-rich Gulf country. The paper did not mention why they poured hot water on the boy nor did it specify his age.

Maid in suicide attempt after mum’s death

A Bangladeshi housemaid in Kuwait tried to kill herself after learning of her mother’s death at home, newspapers in the Gulf emirate said on Wednesday.

The Kuwait family tried to calm the maid down after she went into a hysterical fit upon learning of her mother’s death in Bangladesh.

“A few hours later, she was found unconscious and a large amount of medicine was found near her…she was rushed to hospital and doctors said later she was in stable condition,” Alwatan daily said

Two held for killing Qatari woman

Qatari police arrested two men for murdering a Qatari woman after storming into her house in Doha and robbing her, Sharq newspaper said on Wednesday.

The two, who were not identified, confessed to the murder and said they smashed their way into the house for burglary.

“The crime took place a few days ago and police succeeded in arresting the two,” the paper said without giving further details.

Qatar has one of the lowest crime rates in the region given its low population and the fact that it has the world’s highest per capita income.

Man gets drunk to commit suicide

An Asian man in Saudi Arabia got drunk, pulled out a knife and started to stab himself in a bid to commit a suicide before he was caught by police and rushed to hospital, a newspaper reported on Wednesday.

Police men were on a routine patrol in the eastern town of Bakeek when they spotted the man swaying and bleeding heavily

“They found that he had stabbed himself many times…they rushed him to the hospital, where doctors said his condition is now stable,” Kabar newspaper said, adding that the man would be questioned after getting better.
