A Kuwaiti woman has filed a complaint with the police accusing her fiance of molesting and harassing her, the Al Shahed daily has reported.
In her complaint, she said her fiancé invited her for dinner and booked a cabin in a restaurant in Salmiya. He then allegedly attempted to molest her and when she refused to be touched, he reportedly beat her in public.
A case has been filed at the area police station. The man has been summoned for interrogation.
Unidentified youths molest girl in mall
Police in Kuwait City are looking for two unidentified youths for molesting a girl in a commercial complex, according to a report in the Al-Watan Arabic daily.
The report says that the girl said was on her way to the parking lot when the youths followed her and molested her.
Police have registered her complaint and circulated the description of the youths to all checkpoints.
Dh300,000 worth of pigeons ‘stolen’
Cat burglars appear to be among the pigeons in Kuwait City, with thieves targeting pigeon farms, carrying off thousands of the high-priced birds in recent months.
The police are apparently looking for thieves for allegedly stealing pigeons worth KD23,000 (Dh302,500) from the livestock pen of an unidentified citizen, the Al-Rai daily has reported.
According to the report, personnel from the Criminal Evidences Department have lifted fingerprints from the area to identify the suspects.
Woman loses arm, shoulder after injecting bath salts
A woman lost her arm, shoulder and collarbone due to flesh-eating bacteria that was caused by a self-injection of ‘bath salts,’ according to a report in WWLTV.
The 34-year-old woman visited the emergency room and complained of arm pain, according to Dr. Russell Russo of Louisiana State University Sciences Center.
“As bath salts gain popularity, medical centers of all disciplines must be prepared to identify not only the signs of intoxication, but the potential side effects, including deadly necrotizing fasciitis,” Dr. Russo was quoted as saying.
Indian with 700 porno CDs arrested
Police have arrested an Indian expatriate in possession of 700 CDs containing pornographic material, reports Al-Mustaqbal daily.
The Indian ended up causing a minor traffic jam when he tried to change his route on seeing police patrols. Officers then inspected his car and found the CDs in the trunk of the vehicle.
The Indian was referred to authorities along with the CDs.
