Man kills wife after argument in RAK

An Arab man waited for his three children to go to school in Ras Al Khaimah, brought a cleaver from the kitchen and stabbed his wife to death before going straight to the police. He then called his friend and asked him to look after his kids.

The man, who is standing trial in the northern emirate, told court on Wednesday he murdered his wife following an argument and persistent differences through their marriage life. After his confession, the prosecutor charged him of premeditated murder.

Newspapers only identified the defendant as AA but gave no other details of the murder or specify the age of his children.
