Police arrest parents in young daughter’s disappearance

North Las Vegas police say the parents of a young girl have been arrested and accused of 1st-degree murder in her disappearance.

Police on Friday arrested 27-year-old Lakeia Walker while Ricky Beasley was re-booked into jail on a murder charge.

He already was jailed on other charges.

Police began investigating last year after then-2-year-old Zaela Walker was reported missing.

According to a police statement, she was last seen with her parents, months of investigation turned up no “substantive information” regarding her whereabouts and there’s been no indication the parents contacted anyone about her or her condition.

KINV-TV reported that Walker provided police with information leading investigators to believe the girl isn’t alive.

The parents remained in jail and it’s unknown whether they have attorneys who could comment on the allegations.
