Saudi petrol station mixes fuel with water: report

A Saudi petrol station was accused of mixing fuel with water, leading to the breakdown of many cars which had filled their tank at the pump.

Officials said a sample of the petrol at the station in the southern Saudi province of Jazan had been sent to the state oil operator Saudi Aramco for analysis before taking action against those responsible and deciding on compensating the drivers.

The officials at Salwa shopping mall, which manages the station, said they had shut the pump to await test results.
