Saudi religious cop caught at illegal party

Saudi Arabia’s religious police arrested one of its members at an illegal mixed-gender party along with several other participants.

Members of the Commission for the promotion of Virtue and Prevention of Vice raided a rest house in the capital Riyadh following a tip-off and arrested guests at a party attended by men and women in violation of laws in the conservative Gulf Kingdom banning gender mixing at public places.

According to Mzmz news website, the unnamed Commission member works at the administrative division in Riyadh.

“The arrested member does not represent the Commission men who are keen to be a good example to their society,” it said, quoting a Commission official.
