Seller didn't know adult films were 'haram'

An Arab man was arrested selling pornographic films in Hawali city of Kuwait.

After being arrested, the quickest excuse he could think of was that he was not aware that selling these films was illegal or ‘haram’ (against Islam).

Many Internet users reacted to this report which went viral on social media.

Many said that the arrested man was lying and that he was offering a silly reason to try to escape punishment.

Retaj, a Kuwaiti woman, said that the problem was that this man did not know how to lie. “He should have thought of a more convincing story.”

Sharing similar views, Khalid, a Kuwaiti man, said that he should get double punishment for making up this story instead of admitting that what he did was illegal.
