Teen’s New Year gift for mum: axe blow on head

A teen age Moroccan boy celebrating the New Year swallowed hallucination pills, bought an axe and went home where he used it to split his mother’s head.

Police sources said the mother was rushed to hospital in the northwestern town of Marrakesh in critical condition while the 18-year-old boy was arrested.

They said the boy was sent to a psychological hospital, adding that they believe he had several hallucination pills before attacking his mother on the New Year eve.
