A Bahraini man was caught on camera as he lunged at an Asian cleaner and slapped him with full force in the face, triggering a call by the foreign minister for punishment.
A brief YouTube video published in the Saudi daily Sada showed the Bahraini, wearing a mask on his mouth and carrying a water bucket, came near the Asian worker and slapped him without any warning.
He then started to mock at the shocked worker.
The paper said police later arrested the man and four accomplices.
It quoted Bahraini foreign minister Sheikh Khalid bin Ahmed Al Khalifa as saying on his Twitter page after seeing the film that was shot in south Bahrain: "This poor worker has come from his country suffering nostalgia and departure from his family to struggle for a small wage and this dirty mean man comes and slaps him...I wish that he will be punished."
