Woman beaten to death by exorcist

A 27-year-old Egyptian woman died of her wounds suffered from severe beating by an alleged spiritual healer seeking to exorcise a jinn (spirit) from her body.

Police in the Mediterranean port of Alexandria arrested the killer after her father reported that he used a stick to beat his daughter to expel the jinn out of her body.

Newspapers said the father told police that his daughter was at a psychological hospital and that he decided to seek help from a spiritual healer.

“The father said he believed his daughter was under the grip of a jinn and that was why he brought a healer for her,” a police source said, quoted by local newspapers.
