Saudis report 3,100 online crimes in 2015


Nearly 3,100 online crimes were committed in Saudi Arabia in 2015, including 1,142 arms sale cases, according to police.

About 608 crimes involving child abuse and human trafficking were also recorded in the Gulf Kingdom last year, police said in a report published by Sada newspaper.

The report showed there were also 487 cases involving verbal offences, 64 privacy violations, 54 drug offences, 64 forgeries, 33 hackings, 21 frauds, 38 threats against life, and 42 Haj (pilgrimage) fraud cases.
