Wife tortured by hubby for 3 days, dies

Kuwaiti husband locked up his wife and tortured her to death for three days at their house in the oil-rich Gulf emirate, a newspaper reported on Sunday.

Police rushed to the house in the Northern Al Jjahra governorate after receiving calls from neighbours about an ill woman.

“Police found the woman dying…they rushed her to hospital but she died on the way. Medical examination revealed she was tortured,” the Arabic language daily Al-Anba said, adding that the husband, in his 40s, confessed to beating up his wife.
