Man committing suicide caught on camera

An Egyptian man threw himself from his fourth level apartment in Kuwait after police failed to dissuade him from committing a suicide. The unnamed man was photographed as he jumped down before dying in hospital later.

Police said the man, in his 30s, is believed to have suffered from financial problems, which put psychological pressure on him and pushed him to end his life.

Police and civil defence units had rushed to Farawaniya neighborhood in Kuwait City after receiving phone calls that the man was standing at the window of his flat and was threatening to jump down.

“They tried to persuade him to change his mind but suddenly he hurled himself down before the eyes of a large crowd,” Alwatan daily said.
