Published

In a case of heartless ragging six students of a school in a suburb of Mumbai forced one of their own to strip and dance naked to songs they played by a lakeside, while one among them recorded the scene on his mobile phone and posted it on a website.

The 14-year-old initially did not inform anyone of the incident, as the accused had threatened him that they would file a complaint with police accusing him of stealing money from them, reported NDTV.

The incident came to light when one of the students happened to see the video and informed a teacher, who in turn alerted the principal.

All the accused and their parents reported to police.

Jobless man steals 700kg of onions

With onion price in India soaring by the day, thieves have switched over to stealing the bulb.

An ex-convict has been arrested for stealing 700kg of onions worth Rs55,000 from a Mumbai market, reported Mumbai Mirror.

The 35-year-old suspect was released from jail after having served seven years for killing a man in 2005.

He had been looking for a job to support his family, but when he failed to get one, he resorted to stealing onions.

So, he along with an accomplice, stole 700kgs and even managed to sell some of it before they were tipped off to police.

Just a fortnight ago, two men carted away 280kg of onions.
