Memon unveils new identity

Memon Group of Companies – a multibillion dollar international business conglomerate with interests in real estate development, trading, manufacturing and IT – has unveiled its new brand identity, 'Shaikhani Group'.

"The move is in line with the group's new strategy for growth in the region, which involves undertaking of new projects and collaboration with leading industry partners. The group aims to achieve a 10 to 15 per cent growth in 2010 and further expand its project portfolio," Chairman Abu Baker Shaikhani said in a statement.

The rebranding is also part of the Group's efforts to build a closer association with its founding family - the Shaikhani's, which the company believes will further strengthen its brand identity. All existing business under the Group's former identity, which includes Memon Investments, Memon Real Estate Brokers Dubai, Rubber World Industries, Gulf-O-Flex Trading, Memon Developers UK and Memon Real Estate Pakistan, are also slated to operate under the Shaikhani Group banner. The group is planning to diversify into the hospitality, medical, retail and education sectors in the near future, said the statement.

The Memon Group has delivered more than 30,000 units across the globe, and maintained relevant presence in 90 countries spread across Asia, Africa, Middle East and Europe.
