Executive Council approves capital’s budget

The Abu Dhabi Executive Council endorsed the emirate’s budget for the coming year during its weekly meeting in the capital.

General Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Deputy Supreme Commander of the UAE Armed Forces and Chairman of Abu Dhabi Executive Council, chaired the meeting. As well as approving the budget, the meeting approved a memo by the Abu Dhabi Sewerage Services Company on the import and installation of sewerage discharge lines for Al Sad station.

The council also approved a memo by Abu Dhabi Water and Electricity Authority to import and install 400KV cables from Fujairah to Suwaihan. The Executive Council reviewed a memo by the Health Authority for financing health projects in the Western Region.

The meeting also approved the building of internal roads in Al Shamhkah and constructing an interchange/flyover on Abu Dhabi Al Salaa road at Al Ruwais industrial compound. The council approved a memo by Al Ain equestrian, shooting and golf club for financing the building of a hotel, chalets, covered shooting range as well as staff residence. A senior council official said the meeting also reviewed a “number of issues and memos on the agenda”. (Wam)
