Dubai panel to map finance plan

A finance team to develop 2011-2014 medium-term plan and submit recommendations to Dubai Supreme Fiscal Comm-ittee, has been formed by Sheikh Ahmed bin Saeed Al Maktoum, Chairman of the DSFC, the Dubai Government Media Office said yesterday.

The team will be under Dubai Department of Finance and provide recommendations on developing a new structure for revenues, and discuss and comment on the government's quarterly reports. It can also invite support of any third party.

Spearheaded by Jamal Hamed Al Marri, Director of Central Accounts at Department of Finance, the team will include representatives from the Department of Finance, Dubai Police, Dubai Municipality, Roads and Transport Authority, Dubai Customs, Dubai Health Authority and Dubai Airports Authority.

Abdulrahman Al Saleh, Director-General of Department of Finance, stressed the importance of co-operation among government departments.
