TNI equity funds rated 'A' by S&P

The National Investor (TNI) yesterday said its Mena equity focused funds have been rated "A" by global ratings agency Standard & Poor's.

The funds got strong rating on the basis of "solid track records and consistency of performance as compared to funds with similar objectives", it said.

To achieve this rating, the funds were subjected to a rigorous six-month assessment by the global rating agency, said a press statement.

Walid Hayeck, Director Asset Management at TNI, said: "This rating was achieved by a dynamic and professional investment management team that has demonstrated style consistency and outperformance in very challenging market conditions. The 'A' rating confirms our credibility as a leading investment management house based in Abu Dhabi."
