Air Arabia plans to add seven more flights per week to Dammam in Saudi Arabia starting from January 17, 2010, the budget carrier said yesterday.

The airline currently provides roundtrip flights seven times a week between King Fahad International Airport in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia and its hub in Sharjah, as well as flying to Riyadh, Jeddah and Medina.

Located in the Eastern Province of Saudi Arabia, the provincial town of Dammam is home to the largest port in the Gulf besides serving as a popular business and leisure destination for travellers across the region.

"The step is focused on catering to passengers' needs by doubling flights to Dammam," said AK Nizar, Head of Commercial Department, Air Arabia in a statement.
