A senior delegation of Air France executives gave Abu Dhabi's tourism a huge vote of confidence following a familiarisation tour of the UAE capital ahead of the airline's planned launch of flights from Charles de Gaulle airport this May.

"Abu Dhabi features a lot of attractions and enjoys a variety of assets that make it one of the most desirable destinations in the Gulf," said Francois Michel, Air France Africa and Middle East Manager for French Market.

During the tour, organised by Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority (ADTA) the team visited Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque, one of the world's largest and most impressive mosques; the Emirates Palace; and the Saadiyat Island Cultural District Exhibition in Gallery One at the Emirates Palace.

The delegation also took a Yellow Boat tour of Abu Dhabi's coastline and saw the Yas Island entertainment destination and the Yas Hotel.
