Emirates team on promo tour

An Emirates airlines team is in Guangzhou to conduct road shows to promote the carrier and the emirate in the southern Chinese city ahead of the launch of its services later this year.

Senior executives arrived in Guangzhou on Friday and will meet government officials, the local travel industry and media during the road show, which is to pave the way for the launch of the service on July 1.

Richard Vaughan, Senior Vice-President, Commercial Operations, East Asia and Australasia, said: "Guangzhou is a vital link in our strategic plan and we are looking at playing an important role in its connections with the Middle East to support the region's development. Our upcoming service demonstrates our commitment and confidence in China."
