GAC Shipping and Cargo Systems Philippines, a subsidiary of the Dubai-based global shipping and logistics company GAC Group, yesterday announced that it has renewed its contract with the country's top pharmaceutical distributing company, Zuellig Pharma Corp.
The new deal marks the extension of the 10-year solid partnership between the two companies, during which GAC has provided the company with a comprehensive package of customs clearance and domestic air, sea and land transportation services throughout the Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao regions.
The contract was signed by GAC Philippines' President and Managing Director, Jake Cuerva and Zuellig Pharma's Vice-President for Distribution, John Weston, at a ceremony attended by Bill Hill, the GAC Group's Vice-President – Logistics Services.
"We are embarking on another year of partnership founded on mutual respect and integrity. GAC plays a crucial role in our success by providing efficient logistical support to our nationwide network and has proved adept at implementing logistics initiatives in close collaboration with us," said Weston.
Cuerva said GAC Philippines continues to value its long-standing relationship with Zuellig Pharma, one of its top clients.
"We have built a dedicated team of professionals to meet its shipping and logistics needs. Zuellig Pharma evaluates all of its providers twice yearly, and GAC has consistently rated highly in those assessments, thanks to our high standards and reliability," said Cuerva.
The healthcare and pharmaceutical sector has emerged as a key area of focus for GAC worldwide and constitutes an increasing percentage of its revenues, with the company establishing long-term partnerships with several leading manufacturers, distributors and retailers from within the sector.
By offering a host of supply chain and logistics solutions, GAC allows its pharmaceutical clients to focus on their core expertise in research and development, manufacturing and sales and marketing.
