New aviation services firm launched

A new aviation services company has been formed in Dubai, aimed at providing support services to business jet owners and operators.

The UAE-based Al-Ajneha Group – a consortium of companies – said yesterday it will provide a diverse range of support services to the region's aviation industry.

It added that the group of companies will bring five entities in a synergetic approach to complement each other's service offering. These will include executive jet operations and support; aircraft finance and leasing; fixed-base operations (FBO); airport development and concierge services.

Basel Arrar, Chairman and chief executive of Al-Ajneha, said: "Despite the current financial situation, the private jet business in the region accounts for a substantial portion of the global industry and it will continue to grow in demand. At Al-Ajneha we will support this growth by providing a one-stop-shop for quality support services.
