Palm Aviation, global flight support provider, has appointed Talia Smith as director of operations in the United States.
Smith, a certified commercial pilot, will be based in Miami, Florida, where she will lead the company's plans to expand the client base in the US, Dubai-based Palm Aviation said in a statement.
Having graduated in aerospace studies from Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Florida, Smith's aviation experience includes piloting corporate jets.
The company said it has set a goal of achieving 35 per cent revenue growth per year by extending its services to air traffic to the Middle East and Africa originating from Europe, the CIS countries and the US.
It also announced an investment of Dh40 million in a new fixed base operation at Dubai World Central's maintenance repair overhaul centre.
