Qatar Airways' inaugural flight to the Denmark capital from Doha touched down in Copenhagen yesterday. With four-flights-a-week on the route, Qatar Airways also announced plans to increase capacity on the Doha-Stockholm route.
CEO Akbar Al Baker said: "The introduction of flights to Copenhagen opens up a brand new opportunity for business and leisure travellers from Denmark and the surrounding Nordic countries to the Middle East and beyond. The new route further strengthens our position as the only Gulf carrier to Scandinavia."
Earlier this week, the airline announced expansion into South America with flights to Sao Paulo and Buenos Aires from June 24.
