Tawazun, Korea Aerospace ink deal
Tawazun Holding and Korea Aerospace Industries yesterday announced signing of a memorandum of understanding to initiate cooperation between the Korean defence industries and Tawazun's burgeoning manufacturing hub.
According to Saif Mohamed Al Hajeri, Chief Executive Office of Tawazun, "This MoU adds an important dimension to the array of manufacturing capabilities which are being developed within the UAE.
Hong Kyung Kim, President and CEO of KAI, said: "KAI is pleased to cooperate with Tawazun as a bridge between Tawazun and Korea's defence industries, which have a variety of quality products.
Kim continued, "Our cooperation will be dedicated to the UAE leadership's vision to promote the country's defence industries as its strategic growth engine. Our teamwork and collaboration will induce positive economic effects, such as industrial diversity and additional employment, and above all will serve as a core network to connect and initiate closer cooperation in defence industries between Korea and the UAE." "This MoU is another opportunity to bring valuable economic diversification into the UAE, creating jobs for our citizens," stated Zaal Zayed Al Mansoori, Projects Manager at Tawazun.
