Saudi Arabia-based Rikaz Properties yesterday announced the completion of infrastructure works for the Al Rawda Development in Al Jubail, and has confirmed that all the legal requirements for the project, as set forth by the Saudi government, have been met.
This announcement comes amid increasing demand for residential units in Al Jubail, situated in the Eastern Province of the Kingdom Saudi Arabia (KSA). The city is also undergoing continuous growth in industrial and commercial projects.

Rikaz obtained all the necessary legal licenses and permits for the Al Rawda project, and fulfilled all the required conditions concerning division of land, drawings and grading. The firm also received approval for the project's design, which was developed in accordance with the design of the main development. This allowed the leading developer to go ahead with dividing the land and finalising all the services.

Following the completion of the SAR100 million (Dh98m) infrastructure works, which included a paved road network, lighting works, an electrical grid, and water and sewerage pipeline networks, Rikaz submitted the required reports and drawings to the Municipality of the Eastern Region and the Municipality of the Governorate of Al Jubail, before forwarding them to the Notary Public in Al Jubail for land registration. This allowed the firm to present buyers with their deeds, and enabled investors to take possession of the land and commence their projects. The land set aside for mosques in the development was also registered with the Authority of Islamic Affairs, Endowment, Dawa and Guidance.

Commenting on the occasion, Sheikh Khalid bin Hassan Al Abdulkarim Al Gahtani, President of Hassan Al Abdulkarim Al Gahtani Holding Group, the parent company of Rikaz Properties, emphasised the importance of new projects, particularly residential ones, in and around Al Jubail.

"Al Jubail is the industrial capital of the KSA, and a hub for major primary industries such as petrochemicals and steel, which account for a significant portion of the Kingdom's exports," said Al Gahtani. "The city has a promising real estate investment market, particularly in the residential sector, as the demand for residential units is soaring in the city, fueled by the entry of thousands of new employees to work in the factories, which has led to short supply and high rent values. This situation has led thousands of employees to seek residences outside the city. The Eastern Fleet in King Abdul Aziz Naval Base also increases the demand for residential units in the city."

"Al Rawda Development is one of the most important projects under development in Al Jubail. It incorporates all the facilities and features that make a project a lucrative investment opportunity, such as prime location, wide area, modern infrastructure and services. Upon completion, the project will significantly contribute to boosting the economic progress in the city and provide residential and service solution to residents," he added.

The two million square metres Al Rawda Development faces the Naval Base on King Abdul Aziz Street on the Eastern side, and is flanked on the West by a the Al Dammam – Jubail highway, strategically placing the development between two major highways, both of which are just a few minutes drive from downtown Al Jubail and Al Jubail Industrial City.

The project boasts the support of a state-of-the-art infrastructure, including a comprehensive road network, pavements, lighting, a complete water and sewerage pipeline network and a complete electricity grid, covering the entire project. In addition, it offers both boys and girls schools, nursery schools, mosques, children's play areas, a center for governmental services, health centres, green areas, a social centre, and multiple parking bays.
