UAE's Amana Contracting and Steel Buildings, a leading turnkey contractor, has been awarded a Dh12 million project by Oryx Metal Industries in Oman.
The project, located in Sohar Industrial Estate, is expected to be completed in May 2009. The facility will have a total built-up area of 9,500 sq m and will be spread over 31,400 sq m of land. The contract includes construction, completion and maintenance of the facility. Construction encompasses the civil, mechanical, engineering and plumbing facilities and the steel structure. Al Khayal Engineering is the consultant for the project.
Haitham Radwan, General-Manager (Commercial) at Amana Sohar, said: "The contract for construction of the metal workshop and office for Oryx Metal is an important value-addition to our expertise in the construction of various industrial projects."
