Bids sought for TDIC's Deyar Al Mafraq project

The Tourism Development & Investment Company (TDIC) has invited experienced contractors to bid for the main contract works for the new Deyar Al Mafraq project in Abu Dhabi, which comprises 545 apartments and covers an approximate area of 31,642 sqm.

The project features eight residential buildings of ground plus five floors and ground plus seven floors. Qualified contractors have been asked to register their interest, obtain a pre-qualification questionnaire (PQQ) and arrange for its collection before January 31 alongwith a non-refundable cheque for Dh25,000 in the name of TDIC.

Interested companies must have experience on similar projects in terms of size, character and complexity and be a major registered construction company with representation in the UAE.

Bidders must have a minimum annual turnover for construction activities of Dh1 billion in each of the past three years and must have successfully completed five projects each in excess of Dh500 million in the same period.

The parties must also be prepared to be one of 10 short-listed companies willing to submit construction works tenders under a single stage competitive tender process. Responses to the PQQ are to be submitted by February 7.
