Building material sales in India rise 8.8%

Grasim Industries, India Cements and other producers of the building material in the country sold a combined 14.21 million tonnes last month, 8.8 per cent more than a year earlier.

Production in May was 14.5 million tonnes, up from 13.28 million tonnes a year ago, according to the website of the Cement Manufacturers' Association.
