The organisers of Abu Dhabi's interior design and landscape architecture events – Interiors UAE and Gulf Landscaping – have announced a new competition for all interior and landscape design students.

It is devised by Inchbald Institute and entries can be manually or digitally submitted by February 28.

Students will be asked to explore the concept of high fashion in producing a scheme for a space, which satisfies the four key elements of residential design of "sleep, eat, play and bathe", concentrating on spatial planning, spatial sequence and proportion.

Judges for the competition are international fashion designer Ben de Lisi, Alan Hughes of The Inchbald Institute, RPW and The Association of Professional Interior Designers. Details and applications for the competition are available from the websites or through participating universities including Sharjah, Preston and Abu Dhabi.
