Many Italian exhibitors, participating for the first time at SteelFab 2010, are keen to gain an entry into the Middle East market, said organisers in Sharjah.
The sixth regional trade show for the metal-working, metal-manufacturing and steel fabrication industry is organised by the Expo Centre Sharjah and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry.
Product launches were a high point of the first day and that Middle East Fuji, Ficep, Tools Middle East were some of the companies that launched new products, they said. Meanwhile, Zaker Trading relaunched an existing product and said that it will launch more than 25 new products in 2010.
The Italian Trade Commission brought together 12 Italian manufacturers and suppliers, along with UCIMU, Association of Italian Manufacturers of machine tools, robots, automation systems and ancillary products.
More than 150 direct exhibitors are showcasing about 500 brands in the exhibition area of 16,000 sq m at the event, which will be held until January 14.
