QR14.2m sales for DSI's Qatar unit in 2009

Drake & Scull International (DSI) said its Qatari unit posted a profit of QR14.2 million (Dh14.32m) last year. Drake & Scull plans to consolidate the earnings for its units in Dubai and Qatar in the first quarter, according to a company statement. The Qatari unit had QR166m of order backlog as of December 2009. The Dubai-based construction company said last week it completed the acquisition of the Qatari unit, which had QR108m in sales last year.
