Top designs selected for 7 Zones project

Developer Al Mazaya has chosen five winning designs out of the 23 entries for its 7 Zones Engineer Initiative.

The entries were submitted from the Architecture Department at the College of Engineering and Petroleum, Kuwait University. The designs will be used to embellish the intersection facing 7 Zones project.

Hamad Sami Al Hulaibi won the first place. The winning design is expected to be executed within the next three months in the project. It is composed of letters from different languages, which makes the design an international destination for all cultures, and caters to the needs of the 7 Zones project as an international design centre, the company said.

Salwa Malhas, Executive Vice-President at Al Mazaya Holding, said: "This initiative is one of many organised by 7 Zones to support the Kuwaiti youth and their talents, such as the 7 Zones Design Centre and the Kuwaiti Creative Zone. We will continue cooperating with Kuwait University through various creative initiatives."
