Workshop held for building contractors

The General Maintenance Department of Dubai Municipality recently held a technical specifications workshop for a number of building contracting companies.

Engineer Juma Al Fuqae, Director of General Maintenance Department said the workshop was also aimed at educating the contracting companies on their work with the municipality, especially the General Maintenance Department.

"It was also meant for getting a competitive price from the contractors," he said, adding that the new tasks added to the department include designing and implementing urgent and temporary projects of various types.

The workshop was attended by 25 representatives of contracting companies and staff of the maintenance department.
