Diesel prices to drop by 70 fils per gallon

The price of diesel is to be cut by 70 fils per gallon by Enoc and Eppco on October 20. It will be the ninth reduction since July and will bring the price down to Dh14.55 from the current Dh15.25, said an Enoc spokesman.

"We do not know how long these price cuts will keep happening as it depends on international crude prices," he added.

"We call on industries that were affected by the earlier diesel price rises to reconsider their position as they said they had increased their prices because of the high cost of fuel. Now that the price has fallen the public expect their prices to decline as well."

The price of Adnoc diesel is unchanged at Dh8.60. Petrol prices are not affected by the cut and remain at Dh6.25 and Dh6.75 per gallon for special and super, respectively.
