The Energy and Environment Park (Enpark), a sustainable community model for commercial and residential use is co-hosting Water Days, comprising a series of training workshops on promoting sustainability in the UAE.
Held today and tomorrow, at the Conference Centre in Dubai Knowledge Village, Water Days is the second module in a Green Building Conference series organised by Sesam Business Consultants. Each module offers presentations, open debates, a training workshop and project tours around important issues on green buildings.
Ali bin Towaih, Executive Director of Enpark, said: "Water is one of this region's most valuable resources, and how it is consumed is something that must be taken seriously by everyone. As Dubai continues to grow, the water requirements of the emirate will rise exponentially. Consequently, as responsible individuals we must be very conscious of our consumption patterns.
"At Enpark, we strive to provide our business partners with opportunities to expand their networks and showcase their innovations and knowledge. This conference is a great tool to empower organisations and individuals in the region to seek better and more efficient ways to utilise water conservation. It is hoped that conferences such as these will shed more light on how we can ensure the preservation of this precious resource for future generations."
The event is sponsored by the Canadian University of Dubai and leading manufacturers and providers of integrated sustainable water systems, including Grohe, KSB, Wacker and GE Water. Dubai Electricity and Water Authority, Fraunhofer Middle East, the Association of Professional Interior Designers, and Green Technologies are some of the other supporting partners.
