Etihad Airways said yesterday it has launched a destination management company, expanding the range of services it offers to business and leisure travellers.
The new company, called Hala Abu Dhabi, will be based out of the capital and offer travel products, services and activities throughout all seven emirates, the airline said in a statement.
The travel products offered under the Hala Abu Dhabi brand include event management, ground transportation and business conference and meeting venues, amongst others.
An experienced team of specialists, which includes more than 50 per cent of UAE nationals, is brought together by Etihad to work on the Hala Abu Dhabi portfolio. The airline said that the launch of the company is in line with its expansion strategy.
The airline said that Hala Abu Dhabi will provide a one-stop inbound tourism shop that will deliver integrated travel solutions.
More than 1.5 million hotel guests visited Abu Dhabi in 2009, many of whom travelled to the city to visit specific tourist attractions. The Abu Dhabi Tourism Authority has targeted 1.65 million hotel guests for 2010.
