The UAE is planning to issue a mandatory national emergency blueprint for H1N1 virus, a health official said.
"The action plan will be binding on all stakeholders to combat the disease," said Dr Ali Ahmed bin Shuker, Head of the Technical Health Committee on Combating the Disease, said after presiding over the committee's meeting yesterday.
He said a task force, set up for the purpose, will convene next Sunday to explore ways to implement the plan.
Meanwhile, the Ministry of Health announced that 79 cases of H1N1 virus have been cured and discharged from hospital after full recovery. It said in a statement that 31 cases were still receiving treatment at hospitals, adding that their conditions were stable.
