Julius Baer gains on talk of Qatar stake interest

Shares in Swiss banking group Julius Baer rose 3.5 per cent on Tuesday on market talk that Qatar was interested in building a stake in the group, traders said.

At 0844 GMT, Baer stock was up 3.45 per cent, the top gainer on the Swiss market index, which was up 0.8 per cent.

Julius Baer declined comment on the market talk. (Reuters)
