BFX launches own clearing company

Bahrain Financial Exchange (BFX), the first multi-asset exchange in the Middle East and North Africa, has set up its own clearing, settlement and depository company after approval from the country's central bank.

The BFX Clearing and Depository Corporation (BCDC) will act as central counterparty for all transactions on the exchange, it said.
