Dubai Lynx names STC Advertiser of the Year

Saudi Telecom is to be honoured with the prestigious Dubai Lynx Advertiser of the Year Award, said an official communication from the Dubai Lynx organisers.

This prestigious award is presented to those advertisers in the Mena region who distinguish themselves with inspiring and innovative marketing of their products and who embrace and encourage creative work produced by their agencies, said the official release.

In 2009, STC won two Gold Media Lynx awards for its 'New Day New Dawn' re-branding campaign, the first re-brand since the company was established.

"STC is a young and dynamic company that has both the imagination and drive to advertise its products and brand through innovative ways, allowing it to reach consumers in the local, regional and international arena," said Ian Fairservice, Vice-Chairman of Dubai Lynx. "Seeing how it drives and embraces the creative process with its agencies, it is an inspiration to other brands."

"To be named as Advertiser of the Year is both an honour and a responsibility. This prestigious award is further proof that STC is not only a telecom company, but also a leader in creativity and uses media creatively. Our goal is to showcase the power of STC as a home-grown brand and to engage our customers on a personal level through passion pillars that are a part of their lives," said Mohammed Al Faraj, General Manager, Corporate Communications, STC.

Al Faraj will collect the award during the Dubai Lynx awards ceremony that will be held at The Palladium in Dubai on March 17.
