The third Gulf Film Festival, the annual event celebrating Gulf cinema, has called for entries that depict life in the GCC.

Filmmakers of all nationalities can submit their entries online at gulffilmfest.com until February 25. Winners will be announced at the event, which is being held from April 8 to 14.

GFF Festival Director Masoud Amralla Al Ali said the event provides a larger window for showcasing Arab creativity. "This is an era of global collaboration and Gulf Film Festival aims to celebrate the solidarity that is expressed through the medium of films."

The Festival features two main competitions, for films and scripts.

The second festival had 169 films from 32 countries and featured 47 world premieres.
