OMD to handle Sony's £80m media account

LONDON Sony has picked advertising agency OMD for their £80 million (Dh443m) international media account.

The firm beat Mindshare, which was the incumbent agency, in the final pitch.

OMD will handle media planning and buying in key global territories, but the final contractual agreements between the firms have yet to be agreed.

The firm already held contracts with Sony PlayStation in Spain, Belgium, Holland, Portugal and Luxembourg.
