Mobiserve finishes Metro WiMax work

Cairo-based telecom infrastructure company Mobiserve has completed Dubai Metro's mobile WiMax network for the UAE-based telecom operator du. With the completion, Mobiserve has deployed the advanced WiMax technology provided by Motorola, an official release said yesterday.

The WiMax network, installed on behalf of UAE operator du, provides commuters travelling the city-wide metro system with seamless internet access on all Wi-Fi enabled devices. Commuters with smart phones, PDAs, and laptops can enjoy uninterrupted broadband connectivity at station terminals and while travelling in metro cars at speeds up to 90km/hr.
